This pool is a lot of fun for kids and great for adults as well. The large kiddie pool is between 1-3ft deep which allows toddlers more autonomy to move around. The water temperature in the kiddie pool is comfortable and warmer than the lap pool. It can get pretty crowded but the place is well maintained with plenty of lifeguards on duty.
Best pool time in Palo Alto
Pool opened 6am-5pm
Cover for non residents is 10 bucks..(since I’m a non resident)
Kiddie side opens at 11am-5pm M-Sun.
Kiddie pool is about 1-3 ft. Very shallow and warm for kiddos.
There is also a spray area in the middle of the kiddie pool
Open swims opens at around 1pm I believe.
Open swim on the big side starts I believe at 4ft and up. (A-little colder then the kiddie pool)
There is also a lot of space to sit and shade as well.
You can also bring in your own food just “MAKE SURE TO PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF and PARTY”
There is also a kiddie slide for the youngins..
Weather is 🤩
I've been swimming at Rinc for decades and love that it's a beautiful pool, clean, well managed, and has great lifeguards. Last month while swimming in the shallowest lap lane a man and his young daughter got in and acted like it was open swim (which it wasn't). I asked him if they could please stay on his side so I could swim laps and he started to yell at me to go to another lane. Still yelling, he called the lifeguard over who also asked me to move. I said no (the pool was full, I was there first, and was lap swimming). The female manager was called over and thankfully asked the man to come back during open swim. I was able to continue my swim without the belligerent man yelling at me (or getting away with forcing me out). I'm very grateful for that management. Thank you female manager, thank you Rinc.
This place is perfection. We mostly go to the Play Pool. It is amazing for our little ones. It only gets to 3ft deep so it's great for them to get used to swimming with the comfort of being able to stand when needed. The spray cannon things are awesome and the "mushroom" is the social hot spot of the pool. 😂
Definitely bring you littles to this pool.
Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return after being told I was only allowed to breastfeed my 7 month old baby in the locker room. This is not an option for me as I have two other children I need to attend to. What an old-fashioned & anti-family policy.
I feel so very fortunate to have such a wonderful outdoor swim facility nearby. They keep the water so pristine. The perfect place to swim laps. Thank you Palo Alto.
Great location and clean facility
Busy in the summer, but good crowd keep it safe and still a fun place for families in Palo Alto
Good for adults and kids. The kids pool is very warm, and also has these big sprinklers spraying into the pool. The adult pool is just the right temperature (for me) just a little bit colder so you don't get hot when swimming multiple laps. Locker rooms also have a swimtrunk drying machine which is nice. The showers are all pretty clean. Overall a good pool. Does cost about 5$ per person though.
